1. Relevant work experience in HR management, more specifically on recruitment;
2. Proven knowledge and exposure of the WFP E-Recruitment system;
3. Fluency in both French and English.JOB PURPOSE
To support the delivery of a professional, client-focused HR services, partnering with managers to implement HR solutions in line with WFP corporate priorities.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Recruitments
- Under the direct supervision of the Head of HR unit and overall guidance of the Country Director, implement the established Recruitment Plan for the recruitment of priority positions by coordinating all steps in according to the HR policy;
- Finalize the screening of applications to identify the most suitable candidates and establish long lists
- In collaboration with the hiring managers ensure the appropriate test and interview questions for each vacant position are available and get confidential;
- With the assistance of the locally recruited HR staff, invite for the written test shortlisted candidates;
- Prepare the organisation of written test by ensuring the necessary logistics (anonymous numbers, attendance sheet, computers, examination hall, etc.) are settled in advance;
- Coordinate the marking of the various written test by ensuring that at least two independent examiners mark the scripts;
- In collaboration with the HRO, prepare memos appointing members to respective ad hoc interview committees (including SM for other UN agencies in Cameroon) for the approval of the CD.
- Ensure the ad hoc interview committee members receive the interview credentials in E-recruitment, laptops, time table and confidentiality agreement and gets briefed on how the selection is carried out in E-recruitment;
- Ensure the retained candidates for interview are duly and timely invited;
- Ensure the interview panel applies the principle of fairness and objectivity;
- Serve as HR Representative in Recruitment Panels and provide advice;
- In case of disputes amongst the recruitment panel, provide intermediary advice and/or contact the HRO;
- Prepare Interview report as required and shared with panel members within 48hrs of the interview;
- With the assistance of the locally recruited HR staff, conduct reference checks as well as pre-checked against the Consolidated UNSC Sanctions list for retained candidates;

HR operational activities
- Support HR operational activities or projects that are aligned to business needs, following standard processes and ensuring alignment with wider WFP policies.
- Respond to queries from managers and staff, understanding their issues and ensuring policies, procedures, processes, systems and tools are available and correctly applied to support them.
- Contribute to the effective management of the employment relationship between WFP and its staff, by administering conditions of service, contracts and appropriate entitlements.
- Collate data and contribute to preparation of accurate and timely reporting, supporting a WFP wide view of HR activities that enables informed decision-making and consistent information for stakeholders.

- Analyze and respond to various internal and external queries, to ensure that clients are well informed and that HR team activities are aligned with broader WFP objectives.
- Use HR management systems for reviewing, entering and updating a variety of HR data including monitoring various deadlines (e.g. contract expiration, PACE, etc.), ensuring compliance with the established deadlines and accuracy of HR data
- Responsible for contracts’ management & administration, including preparation of contracts, monitoring contract NTEs and liaising with managers for inputs.
- Provide briefing and guidance to new employees and take an active role in the review of the on-boarding activities.
